About This Event

Round 4 of the 2026 Triple Crown Series takes the field to Gopher Dunes MX in Courtland, Ontario — widely regarded as one of the most physically demanding tracks in all of Canadian motocross. This legendary sand venue has broken machines and tested the limits of even the fittest riders for years, and it remains a true proving ground on the national circuit.

Gopher Dunes is built on deep, heavy sand that saps energy from riders and machines alike. The track features massive elevation changes, rutted corners that deepen with every lap, and long sand whoops that punish anything less than perfect technique. Fitness and mental toughness are just as important as speed here — it is not uncommon for the complexion of a race to change dramatically in the final laps as fatigue sets in. The track's reputation draws huge crowds of dedicated Ontario motocross fans who know they are in for a battle every time.

As the middle round of Stage 2, Gopher Dunes is a critical juncture in the championship fight. Gates open at 8:00 AM local time. Admission, camping, riding & race-practice passes are on sale now — view options and buy below. The event will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed on the Ryde TV app.

Race Format

How the Triple Crown Series works — from classes and motos to team competition and stage points.

450 Pro Class
Canada's top professional motocross riders on 450cc machines. Two motos per round. Combined moto scores determine overall round results and championship points. The premier class of the Triple Crown Series.
250 Pro Class
The 250 Pro class showcases Canada's rising stars on 250cc machinery. Two motos per round with its own championship standings, separate from the 450 Pro title. A valid MRC pro license is required.
WMX Class
Women's Motocross competition at the national professional level. WMX riders compete across all eight rounds of the 2026 season with full championship points and their own season title up for grabs.
Team Competition
Two-rider teams combine their individual points into a single team score. The team with the most combined points across the season wins the Triple Crown Team Championship — a format unique to the TCS.
Points & Scoring
Points are awarded on the standard MX scale after each moto. Overall round scores are based on combined two-moto results. Stage points provide additional championship opportunities at the end of each stage.
Stage 2 Info
This event is Round 4 of Stage 2, which runs across Rounds 3, 4, and 5 (Ste-Julie, Courtland, and Moncton). Stage 2 points are awarded at the conclusion of Round 5. Consistent performances across all three rounds are key to claiming Stage 2 honours.
